The center will begin its fifth season of operations in September. As the center’s director Dileta Tindžiulienė says, “happy is the one who does what he thinks is meaningful. We feel very happy because we believe that we are doing very meaningful and necessary work. Sometimes we get tired of being icebreakers, but when you see the eyes of those children, all the fatigue disappears.”
The “Gifted” program implemented at Vytautas Magnus University is based on the model of the globally recognized Israeli Ron Vardi Center for the Education of Gifted Children. The program has been operating in Israel for 35 years. Students in the Gifted program can develop their STEAM (biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, computer science), art, literature, history, psychology, self-knowledge, philosophy, entrepreneurship and other abilities, as well as perseverance, creativity, critical thinking, analytical and communication skills.
