Module “In the Kingdom of Comics”

Introduction + historical overview of comics + beginning of the ABC of comics (children will try to create text for the presented pictures, will try the hatching technique by continuing the drawing)

Continuation of the ABC of comics + overview of printable comics, their benefits + possibilities of using comics (will try the line-drawing technique, we will look through 4 different types of comics, including Japanese comics).

Creating comics using historical/life context, by hand (generating the main characters, deciding the style and creation technique of the comic)

Presenting your own comic (Each student presents their own comics, comics are selected according to their features (most interesting, funniest, most colorful, most memorable, most meaningful).

 

Module “What is hiding, happening in nature?”

Topics

  1. What is hiding in nature (being in it), searching for your own object, about which you want to learn more: its secret, life, how it is related to others. Children share what they already know, what they are most interested in.
  2. Organism structure (main parts, we observe, notice, then creatively depict without limits, constraints).
  3. Life cycle (we observe, analyze, discuss, then create, depict the life cycle of certain organisms cycle (butterflies, frogs, plants, etc.).
  4. Ecological niche (How everything is connected, affects each other, we try to connect the already discussed organisms, factors, create an ecological niche of several or one population).
  5. My place on this planet. Ecology and environmental protection.

 

Module “I am a researcher”

Depending on the weather, if the weather is warm and pleasant – children explore the botanical garden, we get acquainted with the plants there, how we can recognize them, how they differ, about their properties. By inserting certain experiments. When the weather is not suitable for being outside, experiments are carried out, we discuss what we learned from them.

 

Module “I know the world: I travel around the EU”

  1. Let’s get acquainted. Presentation, goals, expected result of the module “I know the world: I travel around the EU”. Why do people travel? Challenge: become guide in your city for five minutes!
  2. Means of transport in the EU – how is the world improving? Challenge: kahoot.
  3. Are bridges just buildings? We are engineers. Challenge: we build bridges ourselves (lego, paper, plasticine or other chosen ones).
  4. Languages in the EU: is it possible to communicate by learning only your own language? Challenge: creating a comic.
  5. Famous and well-known without Instagram, Facebook and TikTok: the most famous people in European countries. Challenge: battle of minds.
  6. Presentation of projects. Review and discussion of the module moments. Challenge: awards.
